That's a meadow - Not a cornfield. The girls are standing in wildflowers and grass.

'Tis a very weed-ridden field of oats. The individual grains droop off the ear, the ears of barley and rye have little spikey things on them (that make shagging rather uncomfortable) and are closer together.
In Europe all cereals (oats, barley, wheat & rye) bar rice are "corn" but what Yanks call corn we call maize.
