I wonder if this type of posing is instructed by the photographer or just the personal preference of the model. Whatever it is....I wish more models/photographers would adopt it. BTW I'm speaking of the models lack of eye contact with the camera.

I'm guessing in this case it's the model. There's a tendency to obscuring of her face in all her sets at this purveyor, which you're not the first to note.
